The Wellesley Rotary Club has recognized three middle school students as winners of its writing contest, which required participants to compose a 350-to-750-word essay using the following topic: “How I can apply the Rotary Four-Way Test in my Life.” (The Test, created by a Rotarian back in 1932: Is it the Truth? Is it Fair to all concerned? Will it build Goodwill and Better Friendships? Will it be Beneficial to all concerned?)
Some students wrote about how the test applied to their own life and others wrote to teach others about the test, a non-partisan and non-sectarian ethical guide.
