The Natural Resources Commission (NRC) is in the process of updating Wellesley’s Open Space and Recreation Plan (OSRP), which is required by the State to qualify for state and federal reimbursement programs for municipal acquisition and protection of open space. Your views on the Town’s existing open space and recreational resources are very important and your input will be considered as we continue to plan and manage these resources over the next seven years. In this survey, “open space” is defined as public or privately owned undeveloped land that may be used for conservation, parks, playgrounds, playing fields, active and passive recreation, agriculture, or forestry, or provide an important scenic or ecological purpose.
