Babson College students Mansi Kedia (’18) and Rishav Bansal (’15), both born and raised in Nepal, have launched an online fundraising campaign to help support victims of this past weekend’s devastating earthquake.
The “Babson Students for Nepal Earthquake Relief” Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign had raised more than $5,000 in its first three days online.
The students have pledged that all the money raised (besides processing fees) will be donated to local non-governmental organizations that are on the ground helping people, and that their friends and family in Nepal will work as liaisons. Funds will go to food and medical supplies, among other things.
This is a great initiative and it is so nice to see students taking it upon themselves to help make a difference.
