Bag It: Is Your Life Too Plastic?
Tuesday April 28, 2015
7:00 PM Main Library Wakelin Room
Americans use 60,000 plastic bags every five minutes that we mindlessly throw away. But where is ‘away?’ Where do bags and other plastics end up, and at what cost to our environment, marine life and human health? Bag It (2010; 74 minutes) is a sometime humorous, sometimes shocking documentary film exposing the effects of plastic bags and other plastic consumer merchandise on land ecosystems, the marine environment and the human body. Free and open to the public. Refreshments will be offered. This program is jointly sponsored by Wellesley Friends of Recycling and the Wellelsey Free Library.
