A Wellesley man was arrested on Tuesday in connection with an unarmed burglary in town on Marathon Monday after getting caught on a home surveillance camera on Whiting Road (see video below) and implicating himself on social media. Police say the man may have been involved in a couple dozen other similar car and house break-ins.
The suspect’s latest caper took place on Marathon Monday, traditionally a popular day for thieves to do their thing in town. In this most recent case, the brains behind the operation was found wearing the same clothing in the Dropcam surveillance footage as on his Facebook page, where he reportedly also boasted of some of his “finds.”
This isn’t the first time that the suspect has made the acquaintance of the Wellesley Police.
I hope there is a way to keep this guy in jail. Google him– he was arrested in Wellesley at 19 for car break ins, then last year for drugs in WI, now at 25 y.o. for home break ins…from his neighbors. A word to the wise is sufficient. If this kid were from Roxbury, he wouldn’t be out on parole. I feel bad for his parents but this has caused a great deal of stress and angst among my neighbors.
