Join the Wellesley Trails Committee: Follow the Sudbury Path from Wellesley College’s Cheever House, an historic mansion in the Hunnewell Estates Historic District, to the Sudbury Aqueduct. Explore the trails along the Charles River, and cross over the Waban Arches, a 500-ft long stone bridge constructed in 1876 to carry water to Boston. Loop back through Nehoiden Golf Course, the oldest 9- hole course in the country.
The walk is free and takes place rain or shine, unless it pours.
Meet at 9 a.m. at the Wellesley Centers for Women – Cheever House parking lot at 828 Washington St. Directions: Take Rt-16 from the center of town toward Natick for 1.0 mile. Sign and driveway to the parking lot is on your left at top of the hill.
The Cheever House is among the properties that Wellesley College is looking to sell to help pay for its main campus renovations.
