UPDATE: 5/25/15: The Maloney Properties site now says that the application distribution period has ended, though you still still might want to check with them if interested.
The Belclare Wellesley‘s 25 luxury condos at 580 Washington St., starting at $1.4 million, might be affordable to many in town, but the 5 truly affordable units on the old Wellesley Inn property cost quite a bit less.
These 5 units range in space from 759 to 1,201 square feet and in price from $173K to $216K. They’re located at 53 Grove St. and are divvied up between the 3-unit Carriage House and 2-unit Cottage.
To have a shot at moving in to these units via a lottery, you can fill out an application to be postmarked by May 27. Personal income and asset levels will determine whether you can apply. The lottery will be held on June 5 at Wellesley Free Library.
Project developer Jordan Warshaw says his team is looking at late summer for completion of the Belclare. The Townsman recently reported that work on the project had been delayed in part from some “moisture issues” and that the original contractor had been replaced.
In addition to the housing at the site, retail and restaurant space is being built. Two boutiques from clothing retailer David Chase have been revealed as future occupants of part of that space.
Are these still available
Long gone I believe
