The Wellesley Theatre Project, the nonprofit performing arts program that arrived in Wellesley Square in 2012, will expand into additional space at Wellesley Community Center.
Wellesley Theatre Project will use the additional space — “WTP East” — for performing arts classes and one-week summer camps. Its flagship studio remains at 98R Central Street. WTP caters to kids pre-K through 12th grade.
Wellesley Theatre Project will hold a family-friendly Grand Opening Party on Saturday, May 30, from 7-10pm in the Wellesley Community Center’s Henderson Hall. Ticket and silent auction sales help support this local nonprofit, which has an active community service program and provides scholarships to area youth. Tickets for adults are $50 and include a drink ticket; tickets for kids are $15. To purchase tickets, please visit http://www.
Registration is also open for WTP’s 2015 Summer Camps, which include productions of Disney’s 101 Dalmatains, Kids (Grades 2-8), G2K Oklahoma (Grades 2-12), and The Addams Family, the Musical (Grades 8-12).<
