Longtime Wellesley Square stationery store Papers & Presents is moving out of its 87 Central St., location on June 27, though says its virtual doors (i.e., online) will remain open. The store, which is actually doing business cards for us as we write this, is now having a blowout sale.
Papers & Presents has been at its Wellesley Square spot for 16 years, and owner Carolyn McCoy started the business back in 1988 while living on Beacon Hill. Big changes are underway on that stretch of Wellesley Square, as mainstay Abigail’s announced in April that it was closing its 93 Central St., operation.
Subsribers to Papers & Presents’ mailing list are teased with this: “Stay tuned for updates on the next chapter.” A new physical location may also be in the works.
