Photographer Eric Barry is used to capturing perfect images of peoples’ children, families, and wedding days, but finding the perfect studio in Wellesley has proved elusive. A long-time fixture in town, he started out at 402 Washington St., then moved temporarily into the former Follain spot at 50 Central St. (which was Twig before that).
Finally, he’s reached real estate nirvana with his move into 87 Central St. (formerly Papers & Presents). Barry says, “The feel of 87 Central is amazing, old weathered dark wood floors, simple front to back space, with ample basement space. I am toying with turning the basement into a gallery to sell some of my Fine Art photographs that I have amassed over the years.”
He continues, “Along with offering portraiture, wedding and event photography we will be offering specialty photography-related products. Through high end labs that only professional photographers have access to I will be offering clients the ability to print their images on sheets of high gloss metal, distressed wood, silver jewelry and even custom leather handbags with their children’s images on them. We will also feature home decor items related to photography: picture frames, newborn canvasses and pillows (with the birth info), to name just a couple. Downtown Wellesley is so charming and inviting and I can’t wait to be a part of it.”
