Congrats to Wellesley resident Sam Kennedy, who is being promoted from COO to President of the Boston Red Sox at the end of the team’s so far dreadful season. With a little Wellesley magic higher up within Sox hierarchy the team will no doubt turn around its fortunes.

Kennedy, who grew up in Brookline not far from Fenway, has been with the Sox since 2002. He’s been very involved in the Wellesley sports community over the years as well, including as a hockey coach.
