Painter Arnold Sheinis is exhibiting his work at the Wellesley main library. A self-described eclectic artist, he has been painting for many years, but on the advice of his early teachers, first he toiled at a day job. After practicing psychiatry for 27 years, Sheinis decided to let his medical degree take a back seat and made art his full-time priority (he studied at Cooper Union Art Institute, The Art Student’s League, Museum of Fine Art in Boston, and the Danforth Musem in Framingham).
His exhibited work at the WFL sells in the $1,200 to $15,000 range.
