The heat of August may be upon us, but that hasn’t stopped the planners in town among us from looking ahead to fall. Registration has opened for what has become the traditional Wellesley Turkey Trot, slated for Thanksgiving morning and this year being supported by Bank of America.
The Wellesley Turkey Trot Foundation says the following Wellesley organizations will be the beneficiaries of all funds raised from the 2015 race: Wellesley Cancer Prevention Project, Wellesley Education Foundation (WEF), Wellesley Field Fund and The Fund for Wellesley.
The Nov. 26 event will consist of a 5K race, and a 1K kids’ run. Race time is 8:00am, and the courses will start and end at Linden Square.
The race will have a limit of 2,000 runners and is expected it to sell out. Early registrants pay less, too. There will be no race-day pick-up for numbers. See the numbers pick-up information here.
Here are some cute pictures of last year’s snowy, chilly race.
