Wellesley Police have announced a second arrest related to the attempted break-in on Glen Road on Wednesday. They believe a third person was involved as well, so the investigation continues.
The scary incident, which involved the men surveying other homes in the Wellesley Farms area as well, created quite a scene in town on Wednesday, with numerous local and state police cars whizzing across Wellesley, cops drawing their guns, police dogs doing their thing and helicopters flying above.
According to police, the woman at the house targeted for the break-in called police to say there were two suspicious male subjects outside of her residence, and she refused to answer the door when the doorbell rang.
One suspect was nabbed that afternoon, and a second, also from Lynn, was taken into custody today. He was charged with Breaking and Entering in the Daytime for a Felony, Malicious Destruction of Property and Conspiracy.
Detectives working on the case viewed video footage of a male party matching McGough’s description speaking with a resident on Crestwood Drive prior to the attempted break-in. Items in the suspect’s possession when he was speaking to that resident were recovered at and near the scene of the break on Glen Road.
