Are you an educator, artist, performer, or organization with a program—a lecture, performance, exhibit, workshop, or festival— that you’d like to present which would enrich the cultural life of residents of Wellesley? Then the Wellesley Cultural Council would like to hear from you—by Oct. 15, 2015!
The Wellesley Cultural Council has been allocated $4,600 by its parent organization, the Massachusetts Cultural Council, to award grants to presenters of programs or activities in the arts, humanities, or sciences that Wellesley residents would enjoy partaking of during the upcoming year.
As soon as possible, interested grant applicants should go the Massachusetts Cultural Council website, click on “Applicants,” then select “Wellesley” from the left sidebar. The “LCC Standard Grant Application” form can be found under the “Forms” tab.
Please be sure to read what is written under the “Local Guidelines” tab before filling out an application form to ensure that your application will comply with the Wellesley Cultural Council application guidelines. Applications must be postmarked by Oct. 15, 2015 to be eligible for consideration.
The Wellesley Cultural Council is part of a network of 329 local cultural councils which provide cultural programming to all 351 cities and towns in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Funding for these local cultural councils comes from an annual appropriation from the state legislature to the Massachusetts Cultural Council, which then distributes those funds to its local cultural councils.
