October, according to Wikipedia, is a national month for breastfeeding, vegetarians, outdoor lighting, pit bulls and pastors, among other things. It also, the town of Wellesley informs us, is National Community Planning Month.
And in honor of that, the Wellesley Planning Department invites you to an open house on Oct. 29 from 4:30-6pm in the basement of Town Hall to meet staff and learn about ongoing projects, such as the 900 Worcester St., and 135 Great Plains Ave., projects.
The mission of the Planning Department and Planning Board, according to the Town website, is “to assist in the creation and maintenance of a functional and attractive predominantly residential community through attention to municipal planning and project review.”
