The latest Boston Business Journal wealth report finds that Wellesley has more millionaires per square mile than any other community in the state (though note that this is based on 2013 tax filings). Wellesley had 726 millionaire filers in 2013, which works out to about 71 per square mile.
According to the report, the number of Wellesley residents filing million dollar tax returns for 2013 actually fell from the year before. Though as the BBJ reports, that was not uncommon, in part due to tax policy changes that took effect.
