The day before Thanksgiving I should have been home chopping onions for the stuffing and setting the table, but instead I played hooky from such hooey to take a sneak peek at Massachusetts Horticulture’s annual Festival of Trees and Snow Village at Elm Bank Reservation, which is located on the Wellesley/Dover/Natick line. Garden clubs, schools, charitable organizations, and businesses decorated 72 trees, and the Snow Village features model trains, holiday villages, Fenway Park, Beacon Hill, and more.
The seventh annual festival starts the day after Thanksgiving, running from November 27 through December 13, at Mass Hort’s Elm Bank property, 900 Washington Street, Wellesley, MA 02482. Admission is $10 per person, children 11 and under free Mass Hort members: $8. See www.masshort.org/festival-of-trees for more information and schedule of activities.
