The Great Wellesley Toy Store Shake-up of 2015 continues: Swellesley reader NC shared photos Friday AM of signs showing that the Wellesley Gift Shop at 59 Central St., is closing while its neighboring/interconnected Wellesley Toy Shop is relocating into the space. The shops are owned by the same family.
This comes on the heels of LittleBits Toys in Wellesley Hills closing and Magic Beans in Linden Square sending out a plea to patrons to shop there because of recent slow sales.
The end of the year always seems to bring business turnover in town. City Sports is among the other Wellesley businesses on the outs.
The Wellesley Toy store is not expanding, Wellesley Gift Shop is closing and the Toy store is moving into the space currently occupied by the Gift Shop. Another store will be opening in February or March where the Toy store was located.
