Five local organizations are the main beneficiaries of more than $65,000 raised by this year’s Thanksgiving Day Wellesley Turkey Trot 5K and Kids Race. This week, the non-profit Wellesley Turkey Trot Foundation awarded checks to the Wellesley Field Fund ($20K), Wellesley Cancer Prevention Project ($10K), Wellesley Education Foundation ($10K), Dana Farber Cancer Institute ($10K), and Children’s Hospital ($10K).
In addition, the Foundation matched fundraising efforts by the Wellesley High School Boys Soccer and Cross Country teams.
