Inspired or horrified by the national political scene these days? Well, here’s your chance to make your mark in local politics: Nomination papers are available beginning Dec. 16 for Wellesley town-wide offices and town meeting members for the March 15, 2016 annual town election.

The date of the Town Election is two weeks later this year due to a calendar conflict with the Presidential Primary scheduled for March 1.

The offices on the ballot are: 2 seats each for Library Trustees, and Recreation Commission; 1 seat each for Board of Selectmen, Board of Assessors, Board of Public Works, Natural Resources Commission, Planning Board and Board of Health, School Committee, Housing Authority, and Moderator; all 10 Town Meeting seats for each precinct.

Candidates must obtain papers for town wide offices on or before 5 pm January 22, 2016 and for Town Meeting on or before 5 pm February 5, 2016.
