The Wellesley School Committee will be holding a Public Forum tonight, Jan. 28, at 7pm at Town Hall regarding the School Facilities Committee recommendation about the future of Hardy (closing it), Hunnewell (renovating it) and Upham (doubling its size) elementary schools. That recommendation would see a new Upham school opening in 2020 and Hardy closing in 2022.A Swellesley reader wrote to pass along that the School Committee said at its Tuesday meeting that it is seeking more feedback from the wider Wellesley community before it makes its final decision next week. You can catch up on the HHU project on the town website here.
Many of those against the HHU proposal have erected yard signs and signed an online petition to Save Our Neighborhood Schools.
