Massachusetts Horticultural Society is pleased to announce an exhibition of watercolor facsimiles from the Highgrove Florilegium, February 12 – March 12, 2016, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Exhibition is free and open to the public. The Highgrove Florilegium is an exquisite two-volume set of 124 facsimile botanical watercolors of plants from TRH The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall’s garden at his family estate in Gloucestershire, England. The Highgrove Exhibit includes books and framed botanical prints from the collection.

Opening Reception:

Join Mass Hort for the opening reception on February 11, 2015, 6 – 8 p.m., in the Hunnewell Carriage House. Opening remarks by Susanne Dowdall, volunteer docent from the Museum of Fine Arts. Lecture by Carol Govan
Massachusetts Horticultural Society is pleased to present a lecture by Carol Govan on The History of Botanical Art surrounded by beautiful facsimiles in the Highgrove Florilegium and historic prints from Mass Hort’s collection on Tuesday, March 1, 2 – 3 p.m. Carol Govan is a professional artist, botanical illustrator and teacher.
