Wellesley Public Schools might be closed Friday, but school business carries on: A job opening for Fiske Elementary School principal has been posted today. If you’re interested, you better study up on core values:
Wellesley Public Schools is seeking an elementary principal to lead the Fiske School, a 350 student K-5 school in a community that strongly supports its public schools. Our core values are academic excellence, cooperative and caring relationships, respect for human differences, and commitment to community. Candidates must have a Master’s degree and be certifiable as an elementary school principal. The work year is 214 days, effective July 1, 2016. Current salary range is $120,867 – $138,664.
The opening comes as no surprise, as Wellesley last June named Rachel McGregor as principal on an interim basis for the 2015-16 school year. She replaced Anthony Colannino, whose contract wasn’t renewed after 3 years on the job.
