Babson College has announced its May 14, 2016 commencement speakers: Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus and Ernst & Young (EY) Global Vice Chair of Public Policy Beth Brooke-Marciniak.
Yunus will address the Undergraduate School Ceremony at 10 a.m. and Brooke-Marciniak will address the Graduate Ceremony at 3 p.m. Both will receive an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters.

A pioneer in social entrepreneurship who founded Grameen Bank in Bangladesh, Professor Yunus shared the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize with the bank “for their efforts through microcredit to create economic and social development from below.” Yunus has racked up 55 honorary degrees from 20 countries along the way, not to mention an appearance on The Simpsons.

Brooke-Marciniak, a member of EY’s Global Executive Board, has public policy responsibility for the firm’s operations in 155 countries. In addition, she is the global sponsor for EY’s Diversity and Inclusiveness efforts. Among her honors: induction into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.
