The Wellesley High School girls’ hockey team had another outstanding season, but for the third year in a row they fell a bit short in the finals, losing 3-1 on Sunday at the Garden in Boston to Notre Dame Academy. The Raiders had a slow start and fell behind by a score of 3-0, though did play increasingly well as the game went along and netted a goal in the third period to finish the scoring.
So, congrats to WHS on an another excellent season and to Notre Dame for winning the Division 2 championship in their first trip to the title game.
On to the Spring sports season — after a brief snowy delay to start this week…

Congrats to the best public school division 2 team in the state. It’s too bad that the Miaa lumps public schools with private schools that recruit athletes. Not really a fair comparison.
