The Natural Resources Commission, in partnership with the Charles River Watershed Association, is looking for volunteers to help clean up the Charles River in celebration of Earth Day. Join the NRC for the 17th Annual Charles River Clean Up, Saturday, April 30, 2016, 9am – noon. Sign up to make a difference in our community; volunteers will receive clean-up supplies, snacks, and an official 2016 Charles River Cleanup T-shirt, while supplies last. Meet in the Town parking lot at the intersection of Rt. 16 (Washington St.) and River St. near the Newton line. Volunteers should bring their own reusable water bottle and wear appropriate clothing and shoes.
Register at [email protected] or call 781-431-1019 ext. 2294
The Charles River Watershed Association, which is co-sponsoring the event, will also be holding a Volunteer Appreciation lunch after the clean-up (your t-shirt will serve as an admission ticket). The location of the lunch is to be announced.
