You will have no excuse for driving around a scuzzy car in Wellesley after this Saturday, April 30. There will be at least three organized car washes to help local students and athletes raise funds for their activities. For those of you with multiple vehicles, spread the wealth… And for those of you not out and about, this could explain any sudden water pressure drops at your homes.
*WHS Track and Field Team Car Wash: 10am-2pm at 148 Linden St. across from the Linden Store at corner of Everett. (Here’s a look inside a recent X-country team car wash.) The track team is charging $10 for a wash.
*Wellesley High School Sailing Team Car Wash: 9am-12pm at Hardy Elementary School, 293 Weston Road.
The team will also be selling raffle tickets for an Apple Store Gift Card. Raffle drawing will be on May 25th at the team banquet. Also, red fleece picnic blankets embroidered with “Wellesley” will be available for sale, and make great gifts for Father’s Day, coach and graduation gifts! All fundraising supports future capital equipment needs of the team, including boats and sail replacements.
*Wellesley High Sophomore Class Car Wash: At Wellesley High (anyone have the time for this?)
