Lulu Chow Wang, whose name adorns the labyrinth-like student center at Wellesley College, has been named the school’s 2016 commencement speaker.
The 1966 Wellesley College alum, who will speak on May 27, made her reputation as a big-time Wall Street investor, including as founder of Tupelo Capital Management. Though her legacy is more associated with her philanthropy, including a record-breaking $25M gift with husband Anthony that funded design and construction of the Wellesley College campus center.
Here’s hoping she comes zipping onto campus in one of the vintage sports cars that she and her husband restore and race.
At last year’s commencement, author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie dispensed wisdom to “privileged” Wellesley College grads.
