More than 100 runners took part in the 16th annual Officer Stewart Savage Memorial 5K and fun run at Babson College on Sunday morning on a nice mostly cloud-covered day for a race. The event, organized by the Wellesley Police Department, is always a fun family-oriented affair that attracts runners of all abilities, including those from local police forces and academies.
Finished first this year was Wellesley’s Brian Foley, at a 6:04 pace across the hilly course. First among women, and fourth overall, was 13-year-old Emma Forde, who completed the 3.1-mile circuit in just over 20 minutes. And there was even a guy named Grumpy who finished the race this year.
