When we wrote recently about Wellesley’s most popular dog names and breeds for 2016, we mentioned that our favorite dog name was Reckless, and put out a request for a photo of this fine eight-year-old fox terrier.
Well, through the magic of the Internet we received a couple of emails about Reckless and some nice pictures of the pup.
Chris, one of the dog’s owners, said Reckless “is pretty quiet these days, but when he was a puppy he had no fear of heights and thought he could fly. He loved to climb as high as possible and leap into the air and I have to admit that he tried with such confidence that on a couple of occasions he almost convinced me that he could fly.”
Chris and his wife Joan even named their dog sitting business — Reckless Adventures — after their pet.
A Swellesley reader also informed me that TV’s The Waltons family had a dog named Reckless on the show.
