art in the park

Now in its fourth year, Art in the Park takes place Saturday, May 21 in Simons Park from 1 to 4pm. Everyone is invited to come by and work on the project during Wellesley’s Wonderful Weekend.

This year’s project will be a large-scale community collage using leftover industrial materials and donated paper scraps. All materials are provided at the event and the finished art piece will remain on public view for weeks.

Last year’s project involved neighbors drawing each other.

Backers include Wellesley’s Natural Resources Commission, Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club and Wellesley Cultural Council.
