The Wellesley Council on Aging has issued an invite for a groundbreaking on Monday, June 20 at 11am at 494-496 Washington St., the future of the Tolles-Parsons Center for seniors.

Recent Town Meeting and town resident approvals for funding the project have paved the way for construction to start.

“We are thrilled that the commitment and hard work of so many has brought this project to fruition and that the Council on Aging soon will have a new home,” writes Gayle Thieme, director of senior services, Wellesley Council on Aging.

This project got its start with a resident’s $825K gift to the town back in 2005.
