Henry Platt on Monday night conducted his last official concert as Wellesley Middle School band director, and handed over the baton to his successor, Wellesley Public Schools alum David Adams.

Wellesley Middle School music teacher Mr. Platt, director of the WMS Band and Jazz Band for nearly 30 years, recently announced he would be retiring (here are scenes from his retirement event).

The All Town Band Concert on Monday featured elementary band students, the 6th grade band and the Town Band/community band (which Platt says he’ll continue to conduct).
