The Clean Bedroom, a Kittery, ME-based business that opened in 2004 and expanded into Wellesley in the fall of 2012, has closed down. So while it’s not apparent from any signage we could find at The Clean Bedroom in the Whole Foods plaza in Wellesley, the organic mattress company is no longer operating.
The company’s website now simply states:
We are sorry to say that The Clean Bedroom has ceased operations. If you have an order that has not shipped, please contact the manufacturer directly. If you have questions, please emailclosing@thecleanbedroom.com
We thank you for all your support over the 12 years we’ve been in business with a mission to help everyone sleep heathier without toxic chemicals. We hope you will shop for non-toxic mattresses and bedding, and not fall prey to the $400 bed in a box slab of inferior latex that is made with petrochemicals. Your health is at stake.
We did hear from one friend who had ordered a mattress from the store that she did get a refund.
