
The Boston Globe has doled out its Spring All-Scholastic honors to student-athletes, and Wellesley High participants in tennis, track and lacrosse were among those recognized. Wellesley High track coach John Griffith also took Division 2 Coach of the Year honors, leading the Bay State Herget champs to a 5-0 regular season, not to mention wins at the Division 2 Relays and Division 2 state meet.
Athletes named All-Scholastics: Girls 4×100 track relay team (Isabelle Winkelman, Rachelle Parker, Anna Jordahl-Henry and Ally Isley); Malina Rufo (girls’ golf); Alex Novins (boys’ tennis); Caitlin Chicoski (girls’ lacrosse); Ashley Avery (girls’ tennis). Many other Wellesley High student-athletes earned All-Star status for their accomplishments as well.
