Wellesley’s ever more techie library will be welcoming two very cool NAO robots this fall, and patrons will get a chance to interact and learn from them. The robots come courtesy of donations from the Wellesley Free Library Foundation gala.
The library later this summer will be running a naming contest for the robots, which as you can see in the video below, have all sorts of sensors, not to mention dexterous hands. The open NAO robotics program makes it relatively easy for new apps to built, and that new software keeps adding to the robots’ smarts. The library will be running lots of coding classes, and will have demos within and outside of the library.
