This from the Wellesley Department of Public Works Engineering Division regarding recent progress on the Fuller Brook Park Preservation Project (all photo credits to DPW):
On June 16 the restriction on certain types of work in the brook expired. This allows the contractor to resume dewatering portions of the brook to create the dry conditions needed for certain construction. The restriction was to protect fish habitat, while working in the dry eliminates much of the potential for introducing sediments into the brook.
The following photos show activities to dewater and to construct in Fuller Brook:

Kudos to all who are planning, working on, and supervising this fabulous project! I lived along the brook for many years (and am still very close to it), and am completely enthralled with the work that is going on in this space that I have always thought was fairy tale idyllic……..I walk the path each weekend and it makes my heart soar to see all of the residents—-in strollers, on training wheels, jogging, walking on either four legs or two, and propelling their walkers—-enjoying this beautiful trail…….what a gift that ALL of us have given to our town!!!
