Volante Farms, located just over the Wellesley town line in Needham, has been hit with some tough luck to start July. The family business tried to take advantage of the holiday break by having a sealant applied to its retail floor and then venting it, but despite assurances from the outfit that applied it, fumes and a strong odor have stuck around. As a result, Volante Farms will be closed on Friday, July 8, and possibly over the weekend.
“We have been assured by multiple parties that there is no health concern, but rather a strong odor that has managed to stick to almost everything. As a result, we had to throw out every food item and piece of packaging in our farmstand today. We are heartbroken,” the farm owners state on Volante’s Facebook page. The farm pledges to refund purchases made on Wednesday, July 6, that may have had a foul odor or didn’t meet typical standards.
The farm recommends checking its Facebook page for updates, or calling (781) 444-2351, before heading over there to pick up any fruits or veggies.
I have been employed from Volante farms for at least four months it’s the best job I’ve ever had my life I watch the children come in and out from the family and see how they care about their workers I’ve never had a better job than this my coworkers are amazing I have learned so much and I am blessed to have this job and I’m sorry for the farm to have this problem
