One of Wellesley Square’s vacant storefronts is about to fill up, and with a familiar face: Anna Nieman.
The dress designer who late last year left her space at 544 Washington St., in Wellesley to open a shop in Newton Highlands, is now moving back a few doors down, at 550 Washington St., where the Muna gift shop lived until early this year.
Nieman had this to say when I asked her about returning to town: “Yes. I am coming back to Wellesley! What can I say? I love Wellesley! I love my Wellesley customers! And yes I will do a Grand Opening in November. I will continue to design and custom-make special-occasion dresses with my team. I also have exciting news for people who like my designs. I will sell ready-to-wear collections, designed by me in different sizes. So people can get a dress in my boutique off the rack in their size.”
