The non-profit Wellesley Friendly Aid organization is partnering with Wellesley High School this fall to establish a program called Wellesley Connects designed to help smooth the college and post-secondary process for first-generation college-bound juniors and seniors.
The program, supported by a grant from The Fund for Wellesley, is similar to those offered at Newton North and Needham high schools through their guidance staffs. Mentors will be sought from the community at large to help students with everything from the Common Application to financial aid to scholarships and college visits/workshops.
