Runners will be lacing up their shoes to hit the Wellesley roads for several races this fall:
*Charles River Center 5K run/1M walk: Sunday, Sept. 25
Sixth annual event technically starts and ends in Needham, but the race course is largely through Wellesley, in the Babson College area. Starts at 11am, costs $30 for ages 12+ and $15 for youths and $25 for walkers before Sept. 25. Add $5 after Sept. 25 or day-of.
*MassBay Krystle Campbell 5K: Sunday, Oct. 2
The fourth annual 5K run/walk/kids’ fun run funds the Krystle Campbell Scholarship Fund established in the memory of the young woman killed in the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings. Kids’ run at 9:30am, 5K race at 10am. Costs $25 for 5K, $10 for MassBay students, kids’ fun run costs $10 (ages 8 and under)
*Wellesley Turkey Trot 5K: Thursday, Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 24
Annual Thanksgiving kickoff event starts and ends in Linden Square, raises funds for local causes. Includes 5K run/walk and kids’ fun run. Starts at 8am. Kids’ 1M fun run costs $10, 5K race under 18 costs $25, 5K costs $30. Race always sells out, and no day-of registration.
