Bates School teamed up with The Green Team to launch the Outdoors Club, an outdoor fun with an environmental twist. Their recent scarecrow project had participants sourcing materials from Wellesley Reusables Area, supplemented with Home Depot throw-out twine, old clothes, and hay. Clothes will be washed and given away to Planet Aid, twine will be reused numerous times, hay will be composted or used as winter mulch and then composted. Kids had great fun and learned valuable lessons.
