Oh no, now do we have to worry about Wellesley High School football coach Jesse Davis getting scooped up by New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick for his staff?
Davis and his team have earned the Patriots’ attention: Following Wellesley High’s 27-0 blanking of Norwood last Saturday, Davis was named the New England Patriots High School Coach of the Week. Ex-Patriots linebacker and current goodwill ambassador Andre Tippett paid Davis and the team a visit at WHS this week to dole out the honor. Wellesley gets a $1K donation too from the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation, in honor of Coach Davis. The visit and check presentation will be featured on the Patriots weekly television show, “Patriots All Access,” which airs on Friday night at 7 p.m. on WBZ-TV in Boston.
The 6-0 Raiders have recorded 3 shutouts in their past 4 games, though the offense has been strong as well. Next up: Milton on Friday night in another away game.
