World of Wellesley is offering an opportunity at the Wellesley Recreation Center for students ages 12 -17 to participate in a small group conversation about race.
Does Race Affect Your Life?

This 2-hour class for students will participate in a viewing of the powerful PBS Documentary, “Race: The Power of an Illusion, Part 3.” The film focuses not on individual behaviors and attitudes, but on how our institutions shape and create race, giving different groups vastly unequal life chances. It concludes by looking at why we can’t just get rid of race. Following the film, the class will engage in small and large group discussions to unpack what was learned and have questions answered.
