Babson College on Thursday, Nov. 10 will induct two new business people into its Academy of Distinguished Entrepreneurs, and on Friday, Nov. 11 will hold an all-day Entrepreneurship Forum.
Being inducted into the Academy, a 100-plus member hall of fame at Babson, are Care.com’s Sheila Liro Marcelo and Trip Advisor’s Stephen Kaufer.

Marcelo founded Care.com in 2006 to find and manage family care. Her inspiration to found Care.com stemmed from both her personal and professional experiences. A young mother with two small children who also became part of the “sandwich generation” caring for her parents at an early age, Marcelo was challenged to find quality care solutions.

Kaufer co-founded TripAdvisor in 2000 with the mission to help travelers around the world plan and book the perfect trip. Under his leadership, TripAdvisor has grown into the largest travel site in the world.
It costs $30 to attend the event, which runs from 6-9pm.
Both will also take part in Friday’s Entrepreneurship Forum, which features talks and panels including Marcelo, Kaufer and a couple dozen other entrepreneurs and business people, from organizations such as GE, Microsoft and Runkeeper. More info and pricing for tickets here.
