The Wellesley Trails Committee invites you to explore Wellesley town forest on Nov. 5 from 9-10am.
Come walk the woodland trail of the town forest and enjoy picturesque views of Longfellow Pond. Ponder Chief Maugus’s summer residence many moons ago and see the remains of a once vital ice house. The walk will also climb eskers deposited by glaciers and walk through the tree tunnel. Meet at 9 a.m. at the Longfellow Pond parking lot, located on the left side of Oakland Street 0.9 mi. south of Rt. 9.
Wear sturdy shoes. Walk takes about an hour, and takes place unless it pours.
