Wellesley Historical Society on Thursday, Nov. 10 will host its first Artifacts After Hours event in an effort to encourage more people to come out and see some of its collection. The event, which will be held from 7-9pm at the Stanwood House, 323 Washington St., will feature cocktails and hors d’oeuvres; admission is by donation and reservations are required.
The first artifact to be featured is a sampling of the Society’s photograph collection. A presentation will be given by Kathleen Fahey, curator of the Wellesley Historical Society, and EverPresent, a digitization service company based in Newton. Fahey will discuss the Society’s collection of historical photographs and how to care for your own personal collection of old photographs. EverPresent will discuss the benefits of digitizing your old family photographs and videos.
Please email director@wellesleyhistoricalsociety.org or call (781) 235-6690 for reservations.
