What is the Wellesley Marketplace? It’s an annual retail favorite for those seeking unique holiday gifts for family and friends. With its cut-above-the-ordinary offerings, shopping at Marketplace is always a great way to cross off plenty of items on your holiday shopping list. Shoppers will have access to over 240 vendors and artisans from New England and further afield.
When and where will it take place? Saturday, November 19, At its NEW LOCATION at Wellesley High School, 50 Rice St.
How do I get tickets? Tickets are available online here, at Roche Bros. and at the door. Premium shopping tickets ($20) offer exclusive “early bird shopping” from 9am to 10am. Premium tickets, which can be purchased in advance, can be bought at the Wellesley Roche Brothers courtesy booth or online at WHJWC.org. Regular admission is $15; admission for seniors and students is $5.
Why did you switch locations? The exciting move to the Wellesley High School building will provide large bright open spaces for craft booths, plenty of parking, and easy access to food trucks.
How long has the Wellesley Marketplace been going? This is our 4oth Annual Wellesley Marketplace.
What is the Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club? The WHJWC was established in 1944 as a service organization under the Massachusetts Federation of Women’s Clubs. Through its four fundraisers –the Wellesley Marketplace, Luminary Night, the Kitchen Tour and the 5K Wonder Run – the Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club proceeds go to both local charities and to Wellesley High School students. In 2014-2015, WHJWC donated approximately $130,000 to the community through scholarships and charitable grants to local non-profit organizations.
