Engel & Völkers real estate firm has opened an office in Wellesley Square at 1 Abbott St. in the former Alex and Ani space, near Bocado. Dean Poritzky, Sharon Mendosa and Kevin Balboni are partners of the new-to-Wellesley firm and they are apparently no slouches at selling high-end real estate, averaging $80 million in sales annually.
Why Wellesley? Apparently, like the rest of us, the corporate office caught on to the town’s New England charm, elegant homes, outstanding schools, and proximity to Boston. They point out that the nearby swanky towns of Weston, Dover, Sherborn, Natick, Needham, and Wayland can also count on them for all their real estate needs.
We think the Engel & Völkers location is perfect. It’s not plunked smack dab in the middle of what should be a shopping stretch, making everybody moan about another real estate agency taking up a prime storefront, yet it’s plenty centrally located to suit the company’s visibility needs.
Welcome to Wellesley, Engel & Völkers.
